The Access Project (TAP) is nationally recognized for groundbreaking work on medical debt and the financial burden of health care costs. TAP collaborates with consumer organizations, hospital and health systems, community health centers, public agencies, foundation and other stakeholders. Recent achievements include: successfully resolving medical debt for individuals and families; publishing research reports related to adequacy and affordability of health insurance; testifying at the Congressional and state legislative levels; and working closely with the media to inform reporters and the general public about health access and coverage issues.
